Scientist believe Jonathan (a giant tortoise) is the oldest living land mammal, It is thought he came from the Seychelles way back in 18882 which makes Jonathan 190 years old , He now resides on a remote island in the South Atlantic ocean.

He shares his home with 3 other giant tortoises David , Emma and Fred.

He is in the Guiness book of World Records, also an interesting fact about Jonathan is that he appears on the 5p coin.

When he was younger he was known as a cheeky chap he would disrupt local croquet matches and go under tables at tea parties. His favourite foods include cabbage ,carrots, cucumbers and apples.
