On the first week back after half term, Yeo Valley started family dining during their lunchtimes. This is when the Year 5 and 6 children serve the lunches to the younger children and also make sure that they are enjoying their lunchtimes. The Year 5 and 6 children go to the school hall five minutes early to lay the table and make sure that dietary requirements are taken care of.

Miss Forrest (Year 6 teacher at Yeo Valley) has said that “The family dining service is a great opportunity for the children to look after and support each other.” The Year 5 and 6 children have been working together each day to make sure that every child has their lunch. They have also helped them to find their seats and give them what they need. Every Year 5 and 6 has completed at least one family dining session every week. Family dining has been a great experience for all of the children at Yeo Valley!
