As a class we decided to have a class pet (but not a giant tortoise) we choose some stick insects, Miss Fleming bought in some stick insect eggs which were placed on tissue paper inside a see-through container and away from direct sun light. We are watching them carefully as they can take weeks or months to hatch. As soon as we see any sign of movement we need to provide them with ivy, privet or bramble leaves which must be kept moist and changed when most of the leaves have been eaten. We hope to see them grow quite large. Year 5 are responsible for caring them and will make sure that they have everything that they need!
