Marpool Primary School joined the Cornerstone Academy Trust in September 2024. Before joining the Trust following its previous Ofsted inspection which highlighted many areas for the school to improve. This school upon joining the Trust is given a new start and as such will have its first Ofsted inspection as a new school in its third year of opening after its academisation.
Over the past year, since becoming part of the Trust, we have made many positive changes through a significant investment in improving the quality of education for the children. This has entailed a rapid journey of providing new leadership, the implementation of a new and exciting curriculum, a new approach to the teaching of phonics, a new library and every child having their own digital device to access many learning tools to support their education.
Additionally, we have been upgrading facilities. There has been over £1.5 million pounds of investment in the classrooms; creating and refurbished Nursery and Early Years setting through to a modern high-tech Year 6 teaching space. There are new dining facilities delivering our family dining and refurbished school hall for the daily assemblies, PE lessons and extra-curricular activities. These investments support our commitment to raising standards and creating a learning environment where every child can thrive.
Marpool Primary is now flourishing as it continues its journey to becoming a school of which the whole community is proud of.
