Rated Outstanding by Ofsted, Broadclyst Community Primary School (BCPS) has an international reputation for innovative use of digital media. BCPS was founded in 1810 to serve the children of the local community. Still a community school, now with its own 40-place Nursery, it has developed a local, national and international reputation for its innovative use of IT and digital media. It is part of the Cornerstone Academy Trust, as a multi-academy trust that provides 21st century education across seven schools.
Broadclyst is the original founded school of our Trust.
Digital tools are going to be a critical part of your child’s future. Whether your child is using a computer to edit a video, a waterproof device to collect data in Forrest school, or developing literacy, free thinking, creative and communication skills in the TV studio, the ethos of BCPS is to use the technology alongside excellent teaching to provide an outstanding education, packed with opportunity. However, balance is very important in education, as in all areas of life. The children will also play and learn outdoors, at Forrest school and on the allotment as well as in sports teams and they have the change to sing in a choir, play a musical instrument and learn to cook.
oUTSTANDING eDUCATION
Cornerstone creates challenging learning environments that inspire children to achieve high standards and become life long learners and independent thinkers. Each individual child receives a curriculum personalised to their needs.
