Gender Pay Gap

Cornerstone Academy Trust is committed to equality, fairness and transparency across all our schools.

As we now employ over 250 staff, we are required to publish our annual Gender Pay Gap data. This report reflects our workforce position as at 31 March 2025.

What is the Gender Pay Gap?

The Gender Pay Gap measures the difference in average earnings between men and women across an organisation.
It is different from equal pay. Cornerstone Academy Trust is confident that men and women are paid equally for performing the same or equivalent roles. The Gender Pay Gap instead reflects how men and women are distributed across different roles and salary levels within the Trust.

Our 2025 Headline Figures

  • Median gender pay gap: 28.3%
  • Mean gender pay gap: 18.0%
  • Women make up 80.8% of our workforce
  • Median bonus pay gap: 0%

These figures reflect the structure of our workforce within the education sector, where roles are predominantly held by women.

Our Commitment

We are committed to:

  • Fair and transparent recruitment
  • Supporting career progression for all colleagues
  • Monitoring workforce data annually
  • Promoting equality of opportunity across the Trust
