We are delighted to share that Countess Wear Primary School has been recognised at the Bedrock Learning School Awards 2026, winning the award for Largest Language Growth in the Disadvantaged Cohort.

The national award celebrates the school’s outstanding work in developing pupils’ vocabulary and grammar, with disadvantaged pupils achieving an impressive 44.6% improvement compared with their baseline assessments across 48 pupils.
