Congratulations Year 4 on a very successful trip to Escot this week!
During their adventure at Wildwood Escot the year 4 pupils had to embrace the outdoors in a whole new way. Day one involved Forest School skills with a series of Bushcraft activities, as well a some essential survival skills: a real confidence builder! The infamous swamp walk was next, to test their courage and teamwork.
It was great to pop by to see them all having such a lovely time, with them enjoying a delicious spaghetti bolognese too!
After a night spent sleeping in yurts the second day involved a visit to the Anglo Saxon era of Britain. The children learned about hunter-gatherers and foraging, as well as gaining hands-on experience with some of the jobs from that era to understand the historical significance of these activities and appreciate the skills and knowledge of the Anglo Saxon people.
The year 4 pupils had a great time and showed how well they can work as a team, make decisions, use their learning and support each other – well done year 4 for a fantastic trip to Wildwood Escot
