Year 5 are back this week after a full roster of activities on Dartmoor last week. Taking part in pond dipping, orienteering, team building, prehistoric fun and following the River Lemon from source to mouth, it really was jam packed!
The five-day stay away from home was a brave step for the pupils, and it was wonderful for teachers to see each child grow and develop as an individual. The teachers were thrilled to observe the students in this new environment, witnessing their resilience and teamwork. This residential trip has undoubtedly been a memorable and enriching experience for everyone involved, fostering both personal growth and a deeper connection with nature and the world around them.
Thank you so much to all of the staff who went on the trip -and well done to all those brave explorers to spend a week away from home! The full article is in this weeks newsletter if you’d like to read more about it.
An extra congratulations needs to go to Mr Holwill, who not only spent 5 days away with the Year 5’s but then on the weekend, his rugby team (Topsham) played at Twickenham in the National Championships and winning the cup final!
