Celebrating World Book Day at Clyst Heath Primary School

We had a fantastic time celebrating World Book Day at Clyst Heath Primary School, with the school filled with excitement, creativity and a wonderful range of book characters.

Children arrived in brilliant costumes inspired by their favourite stories, and it was fantastic to see so many books and characters brought to life around the school. Our staff also made an excellent effort with their costumes, fully embracing the spirit of the day and helping to create a fun and memorable celebration of reading for everyone.

A highlight of the celebrations was recognising the winners of our 500 Words Story Competition. The standard of writing was incredibly high, and the winning stories were shared and enjoyed across the school, showcasing the imagination and storytelling talent of our pupils.

Author Visit Inspires Young Writers

As part of our World Book Day celebrations, we were delighted to welcome author Joseph Witchall to the school.

Joseph delivered engaging sessions with pupils, sharing his experiences as a writer and inspiring children with his creativity and storytelling. Visits like this are a wonderful opportunity for pupils to learn more about the writing process and to be encouraged in their own imaginative writing.
